HOW THE APPLICATION OF THE U.S. MILITARY’S STEALTH RADAR SHIELD TECHNOLOGY CAN NOW BE USED TO PROTECT CELL PHONE USERS FROM BRAIN CANCER

Millimeter Wave Technology, Inc (MWT) is a leading US company in the field of stealth technology. The Problem
Up to 60% of the radiation emitted by a typical cell phone is absorbed by the user’s head. More importantly, up to four times the radiation comes out of the earpiece of a cellular phone, than out of the antenna to transmit a signal to the cellular tower.
Several Entrepreneurs, banking on the legitimate public health concerns and on the readily available press coverage, quickly entered the market with products supposed to reduce the unwanted radiation from the cell phone to reach the user’s head. Unfortunately, most of these products (if not all of them) do not work as advertised.
Rightfully concerned with the widespread use of cell phone worldwide and its negative effects on user’s health (cell phone have been widely documented as causing brain tumors and permanent infertility in laboratory mice), Millimeter Wave Technology addressed this problem utilizing materials designed to absorb and protect from microwave radiation..

After considerable research, MWT developed a proper earpiece radiation absorbing material, designed to reduce by more than 90% the radiation absorbed by the cell phone user.
In laboratory tests SRS demonstrated a reduction of radiation of more than 95%, even better than the original requirement. This testing was done by measuring the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) which is a measure of the heat absorbed in the brain from the cell phone. Additionally, the amount of radiation reduction can be measured by equipment similar to that used for measuring Stealth Performance in aircraft. That test as well demonstrated a reduction of radiation of more than 95%.
What the Experts Say
In the United States, the FDA has determined that cell phones may have long term health effects, and have commissioned a study to determine those effects. As an interim measure, regulations have been enacted warning users of the amount of radiation emitted to the brain. This data is known as the “SAR” and must by law be prominently displayed on every phone for sale in the US.
In the United Kingdom, regulations have been passed such that all mobile phones come with health warnings.
In the European Union, regulations have been passed requiring manufacturers to prominently display the “SAR” for every phone for sale.
Scientific studies worldwide are focusing on the relationship between cell phone use and brain tumors, genetic damage, sleep disturbance, memory and attention deficit disorders. No wonder that the major cell phone manufacturers are concerned about the amount of radiation emitted to the brain.
Product Installation and Use
The SRS device is supplied with peel and stick adhesive. The device needs to be installed on the earpiece of the cellular telephone with the center hole over the holes in the earpiece that allow sound to travel through the phone body to the user’s ear. SRS is a passive circuit analog device and requires no external energy sources to work. It has a life expectancy equal to or greater than the cell phone to which it is attached.
A few companies offer – mostly through the internet – products that claim to significantly reduce the harmful radiation emanating from cellular telephones which shower the users head while in use. These products use one of three ways to resolve this complex issue:
1 A reflective shroud encasing the cell phone
Assuming you find a shroud for your specific cell phone, there is a distinct probability that it will interfere with the keyboard and function buttons, hampering the usability of the phone. This is, however, the easiest way to reduce emissions. MWT, while developing SRS evaluated this option and abandoned it as it created too much internal interference within the cell phone. This resulted in lost signals, communication interruption and poor performance, range and voice quality.
2 An absorber shroud encasing the antenna
Antenna shrouds are easy to manufacture and do effectively reduce the radiation from the antenna. However, most of the radiation emanating from a cellular telephone comes from the circuitry and internal portion of the antenna and are transmitted through the area surrounding the earpiece. As a result, shielding the antenna does not provide sufficient energy dissipation for A4M to approve of this avenue. Indeed, tests at MWT have conclusively demonstrated that the use of an antenna shroud has the following undesirable effects:
· Reduced battery life
· Increase in harmful radiation by reason of adaptive technology inside the phone
· Minimal reduction of harmful radiation emitted by the antenna
Additionally, if improperly installed, the shield actually can direct the radiation to the brain instead of away from it
3 Ear Plug/Microphone Units
Conceptually, the ear plug/microphone combination provides an efficient solution to the reduction of radiation to the brain. The units however suffer from usability issues. Additionally, this type of unit is most often used with the cell phone either in the user’s shirt pocket or pants pocket. This leads to radiation emissions to the chest cavity or genitalia.

Although the intensity of radiofrequency fields used for communication purposes is very low, we are unsure of what the long term effects of low level RF may be. Even the industry is somewhat divided in defining the levels of radiation that are considered dangerous.
